SHOW NEWS - 2016/2017

This show year is from May 1, 2016 to April 30, 2017.    We are entering into a new era where CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) is starting the process of accepting Bengals to their organization!      Last year we received our first "International Winner" as Sasquatch became the 12th best kitten in the WORLD (all breeds), while still getting RW SGC's for Draper and Honey and getting a RW/QGC for Alamo!!     This year, Chris and Gary Jacobson are showing 2 of my cats -  "Traipse Sweet Surrender" and "Traipse Setting the World on Fire"  (Who, as a kitten looks like he'll acheive a "International Winner" title!    Congrats to Chris, Gary, Ivonne and Heidi -  All of whom are showing Traipse Kittens/Cats in TICA!

Note:  Many of these pictures have links to their personal cat webpages/client websites  -  just click the photo :)

CH Traipse Forged in Fire

SBT 052416 018
TICA RW QGC

Forge is a dream come true!!     Not only because of the beauty that you can see, touch and feel, but because of the genetic faults that we were able to drop from his mother with this selective pairing!!     (He dropped marble, PK Def and PRA Bengal) -

He is built like a brick house, has the pelt of the silkiest, smoothest fur, big nocturnal eyes, small/medium ears and a profile that is nearly straight -  just like his wild ancestor!

While his 1/2 brother was "Best Bengal" in Portland this year (1/17), Forge did manage to get 3 judges to think he was better and give him the Champion title that he deserves.    Considering 19 bengals were entered, this is quite a task!

TGC Traipse Sweet Sassafras

SBT 012516 027

 Quadruple Grand Champion in 2017!

Fras is a full sister to Sasquatch so we are hoping for some great things from her!     She now has over 30 finals to her name and is one of the top Bengal Kittens in the world!

She has started her Adult show career and is currently a Triple Grand Champion and headed to Sacramento where we will try to get her Quadruple Grand Champion points (already have the final) and hopefully get the "Best Cat" that will be needed to Supreme

NOTE:    See "Traipse Sweet Surrender" below!    Full sister of Sassafras and has just Supremed this month!   12/16

GRC Speakeasy Tail Blazer of Traipse   "Tali"

SBT 041516 039

-Best Female Bengal - Breeder Choice at On Safari - 2/17

-2nd Best Bengal -  On Safari Congress
-Best Female Bengal - Jean Mill Visionary Award - 1/17

-Best Bengal Adult Head - Jeff Roberts Award 1/17

Tali is amazing -   Her tail is the perfect "medium length" as well as being thick.    She has an incredible wild look to her with the white goggles around the eyes, small rounded ears, puffy whisker pads and a primordial pouch that's exquisite!     This girl is just striking!     Thanks to Chris and Gary for breeding my girl Desdimoto to their IW SGC - "Woody" which allowed this beauty to be created!!!

Tali is now a DGC

Traipse Up the Drapes

22th BEST Cat - NW 2016

Length of body, pattern, contrast and personality are all amazign traits of this boy....  He was #1 bengal in the region for almost the whole year until Sasquatch unseated him at the last minute!!    He's now retired from showing and making beautiful babies with our girls!

Traipse Around with Sasquatch - 2016

BEST Kitten - NW

12th BEST Kitten - Worldwide

20th BEST Adult - NW

BEST Bengal - TICA Annual

Currently 8th best bengal as of 4/17 in TICA (and only showed first 1/2 of the year!!)

Head, Ears, profile, nose and eyes -  add to this an incredibly muscled boy and you have Sasquatch -   AKA:   "Sassy" -     He's the whole package and our most well received boy to date!    He is best known for his profile shape that is completely rounded/straight all the way from his nose through to his back skull -  No brow ridge and no dip.    While the Bengal standard was changed from this incredibly hard trait to breed down to a domestic generation to a "slight dip" being OK -   It really is not what most of us bengal breeders desire -  Just look at profile pics on the internet of ALC cats and you'll see that Sasquatch has a perfect profile!

Traipse All Maxed Out "Alamo"

20th BEST Shorthair Cat - NW 2016

I have never seen a boy that has this amazing pattern/color/contrast that is so similar to the african leopard!     Just amazing :)

TRAIPSE CLIENTS

Traipse Mondo Macadamia

Seal Mink Spotted Male

We were so excited to bring out Big Mac to the local show here in Issaquah with CFA.    He's an AMAZING example of the 50/50  standard that we are working with for Bengals.

He's a show stopper -   Super Friendly and amazing ambasador for the Breed and his Color Division!

Here is is posing with Caityn (friend and one of my cattery assistants) along with two other "crazy hair color" girls!    Pam Moser in the middle is our NW Regional Director.    This show was so full of friendly exhibitors and interested judges that I wished everyone could have been there to witness the first CFA Bengals shown in the NW!!

Traipse Around with Sasquatch

TICA - IW RW SGC and "Best NW Kitten" in 2015/2016

Sassy wow'd the judges with his high energy and friendly disposition -   What a cat this boy has grown into!

Sasquatch will be shown enough this year to get antoher RW title to complete his Lifetime Achievement goal but will skip a few shows so that some of our new contenders can have their day in the sun!

CFA in Issaquah -  May 2016

CFA and TRAIPSE BENGALS

Sasquatch was invited to Las Vegas to tattend the CFA Annual!    He was one of the bengals used to train CFA judges in June 2016!!    His combination of "type" with pattern is very unique and something appreciated by my fellow bengal breeder leaders!

Traipse Set my Heart on Fire - "The Nut"   (Known as Banana Nut as a kitten at Traipse)

Brown Spotted Female

SBT 091516

This girl is being shown and cared for by my bengal friend Wendy Symmes!     Wendy and The Nut are just perfect together and have been travelling all over the US going to Show after Show!   The Nut is a full sibling (later litter) of Rocky (see below)

The Nut is growing into a beautiful girl and we can't wait to see what the future holds for her show career and the babies that she brings to Wendy!

Traipse Setting the World on Fire - Aka: Rocky

(formerly known as "Boom" when here at Traipse)

Brown Spotted Male

SBT 051516 039

This boy lives with Chris and Gary at Speakeasy!    He is a gorgeous little guy and really big for his age!     He had his first show at 4 months (and 1 day) old and did really well against his Aunt Sassafras!

Stay tuned for more news from the East Coast -  His first 4 shows with Chris and Gary, he has been either the BEST KITTEN or 2ND BEST KITTEN at the SHOW!!! (Out of all breeds)     "Best of the Best Kitten" in Corpus Christi with 6 BEST KIttens, 3 - 2nd Best etc.

Rocky is now sitting at 7072 points as is the 12th best kitten (all breeds) in the World and the #1 Bengal in the US!      He's ended his kitten career with another "BEST KITTEN" from the New Jersey show with over 55 kittens attending!

His debut show as an Adult in Portland OR, gave him the Best BENGAL ADULT at the show out of 19 bengal entries!!!!!      He's an amazing boy and we are considering campaigning him for a Top International Title next show year!   :)

QGC Traipse Sweet Surrender of Speakeasy

Quadruple Grand Champion -  11/2016!

Brown Spotted Female

SBT 012516

This stunning girl went out to Chris at Speakeasy Bengals in Boston.    Sass is a full sister to Sasquatch and a daughter to "Crash" who Chris and Gary helped me raise.

Her first show out saw 53 - 61 kittens in her class and she finaled 7 times!    2 of which are Best Kittens from Linda Jean Grillo!     As the current 3rd best bengal kitten in TICA, she is proving to be quite a gorgeous little girl!

Sass didn't love showing and hopefully her hormones will settle down a bit and she'll find joy in being adored when she has other feline neighbors :)     Chris kept working with her and she has now made her "Best Cat" necessary forSupreme Grand Champion Title! - she just needs another 600 points :)   THANKS Chris and Gary for showing her!
